Welcome To Our Masquerade - DP Story - Chapter One

Amity Park seemed like a normal city, nothing out of ordinary.  Casper High was just the same, nothing unusual, Divina, a new student who just moved into town a few days ago from Kansas.  Today was her first day of school, as was every teen that attended the school.  This will be her junior year; however she wasn’t so sure on how the school year will come along.  Her last school she attended to was very eventful, yet dramatic. She was hoping to have a more peaceful year here in this school.

After getting her schedule and locker number with its combination she headed off to see her locker to stuff her books, and other school items she didn’t need at the moment. Pulling her hair over her left shoulder she input her combination opening the locker.  Unfortunately, her locker was surrounded by other lockers, and it would be hard to weave through the crowd of the students when classes ended or started.  As Divina set her things in her locker a shadow fell over her petite form. Glancing over her shoulder she took in a male teen with blonde hair with violet eyes. He wore a jacket that was red with white sleeves also wearing a black t-shirt, and blue jeans.

“Can I help you?” Divina asked.

“You’re the new girl that just moved here a few days ago, right? My name is Dash.”

“Hi Dash. I’m Divina.” She held her hand out to shake with his, but he took her hand and kissed her hand.

“You have a beautiful name I like it.”

“Thank you. I like it too.”

“Do you need help with getting to around the school, or the city? I can be your escort.”

Divina thought for a moment before smiling to him. “Sure, that would be great. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. Let’s see what class you have first.” Dash pointed to the paper in her hand.

“I have world history first.”

“That’s great! I have that class first too! Come on, I’ll walk you there.”

“Okay, thanks. Let me grab my things first.”

Divina reached into her locker pulling out her journal, pencils and pens. “Alright, let’s go.”

Dash smiled to her, as she shut the locker then he placed his arm over her shoulders leading her off down the hall. Of course Divina gave a questioning look to his arm before relaxing. Dash chatted about the teachers and other students. As he spoke about the other students the two passed a small group of students. A boy with black hair with sky blue eyes he wore blue jeans his shirt was white with a red oval shape up by the collar, and red rims around the sleeves, a girl with black hair also, but with violet eyes like Dash’s. She wore dark clothes like her own; however this other girl wore gothic style clothes. The last was another boy, but he was dark skinned a hat covering his head. He wore a yellow sweatshirt, and cargo pants. Dash gave a grin to the three before pulling Divina around a corner. Divina tried to see the three, but couldn’t get one. Maybe she’ll be able to meet them later in the day.

Once Dash was out of sight Danny let out a sigh he truly was tired of being bullied by the taller teen. He pulled out his books from his locker, and turned to his friends.

“Well, at least Dash didn’t pick on me.”

“Yea, that’s good. But, I would like to know who that cute girl was that Dash had with him.” Tucker smirked, thinking he might have a chance with this girl.

“She just moved to town, she lives a few blocks from me.” Sam stated leaning against the other lockers.

“Really, she’s really pretty. Like Paulina.” Danny sighed.

Of course Danny would still have a crush on the popular girl. Tucker still did as well.

“She has a good style of clothes. However, if she’s hanging with Dash I don’t think I want to know what she’s like.”  Sam thought aloud.

“We’ll just have to introduce ourselves when she’s not around those jocks.” Danny told his friends all three headed to their appropriate class rooms.
