Welcome To Our Masquerade - DP story - Chapter Three

School was finally over for the day. Divina let out a sigh of relief, as she headed down the sidewalk towards her house. She was glad that ghost never came back, however it didn't mean he wouldn't come later tonight or tomorrow.  Thinking back to the two ghosts, she thought about what the bad ghost told her.  Divina wasn't sure what her father did, but she knew he didn't do anything that would go against his 'superior'. Well, except for disappearing off the face of the earth...
"I have to warn mom and dad." She muttered, as she hurried home.

Danny, Sam, and Tucker made it back to Danny's house, and were downstairs searching through the computer for the mysterious ghost that visited school today.

"That's weird. He's not in here.  I have a feeling he's going to be a nuisance..." Danny huffed.

"I agree. But, what's more important is finding out about that new girl. He said he was going to kill her and her family!" Sam exclaimed throwing her arms up.

"I know. I'll try to get answers." Danny agreed, while rubbing his chin in thought.

"Does anyone know where she's living at?" Tucker asked aloud.

"Nope."

"Not me.."

"Me neither."

The three sighed.

"Well, I can always go look for her as my ghost form. I also have a feeling that ghost may be back tonight." Danny suggested.

"Right, you're going to go stalk the new girl." Sam rolled her eyes.

Danny turned to Sam. "Not like that!" He defended. "You're the only one for me, Sam." Danny took her hand in his.

Sam turned away, a blush playing on her cheeks, as she grasp his hand back. "Same here, Danny."

"Oh, please!" Tucker sighed turning and walking to the other side of the room to get away from the two love birds.

"Yes, that's what he said." Divina nodded to her parents, as they were trying to understand what she had just said.

“This isn’t good.” Her father started to pace. “A ghost? How on earth will we be able to run from a ghost?”

“Actually…” Divina started.  “This one ghost came to my rescue. I believe a class mate said he was like the town’s hero. Maybe we can ask him for help?”

“I don’t know. I don’t want to drag innocent people, or ghosts into this mess.”

“Then what shall we do?” Divina’s mother asked. She placed her hand on her husbands shoulder.

Her father turned to her. “Can you bring the ghost hero here? So I may talk with him?”

“Of course, I have to find him first.”

“Good.”

Divina turned to head to her room when her phone went off.

“Hello?”

“Divina!” Star’s voice was on the other end. “Are you coming to the party?”

“Actually, some things popped up. My mom and dad are needing me to stay home at the moment. I’ll come to the next party, if that’s alright.”

“Of course, I’ll just tell Dash. I hope everything is alright!”

“We’ll be fine. You guys have fun. I’ll see you at school Monday.”

“Bye, Divina!”

“Bye.”

“Who was that?” Her mother asked.

“A classmate. They were wanting me to come to this one guys party tonight.”

“I see. You could’ve gone.”

“I don’t know. The guy probably has alcohol there. I don’t want anything to happen. And, I also don’t want
them to get hurt if that ghost comes back.”

“Understandable.”

Danny flew above the city in search for any sign of that ghost or Divina.

“It can’t be that hard…” Danny muttered to himself.

He went intangible, so he could go into the houses without being spotted. Still he couldn’t find Divina. He soon gave up, and started home. “I’ll try again tomorrow.”

Once he arrived back home he logged onto his computer to talk to his friends on the web cam.

“Did you find her?” Tucker asked.

“No, I didn’t. I’ll look for her tomorrow.”

“Maybe she’s at Dash’s party?” Sam suggested, while rolling her eyes.

“I don’t know. I stayed away from his place.  I’m also concerned about her when that ghost comes back. He
almost killed her at school today.”

“Almost, but, you saved her.”

“I was thinking of going to talk to Vlad about this new ghost. Maybe he has heard of him.” Danny voiced his thoughts to his friends.

“Are you sure he won’t try to take away your powers?” Tucker asked.

“I hope not. He has to help, since the ghost is trying to murder an alive person.”

“Maybe, Danny, I’ve got to log off. It’s been fun chatting with you.” Tucker replied.

“Okay, see you tomorrow, man.”

“Bye Tuck.”

“….” Sam stared at Danny in the web cam. She didn’t know what to say to start the conversation up
between them.

Danny, sensing her comfortableness, said; “You know, just because I said she’s pretty like Paulina doesn’t mean I think she’s prettier than you. I still love you.”

Sam blushed, as a smile spread upon her lips. “I love you too, Danny.”

Danny smiled back, before making plans to go out with Sam.

“… I will attack when they least expect it, family and ghost child. I will finish my mission, and report back to my superior with it accomplished.”
